Royal Purple EOTD: Fyrinnae Shinigami, Taylor Made Minerals Chintzy, Stila Barbie Loves Stila Palette
10:29 AMRoyal Blue has never been one of my favorite colors, let alone something I would consider using for an eyeshadow...until now. I found the cutest shirt at Forever 21 for $11 the other day, and as a result, I had to figure out what type of an eyeshadow combination I was going to use with it. Of course, the shirt was the deepest royal blue, almost purple, that I had in my wardrobe, so this was going to be a new venture for me! I decided this was a great opportunity to use some of the newest colors since my birthday, including the purple/blue shade from the Barbie Loves Stila palette and Fyrinnae's Shinigami that I just ordered from their Halloween 2009 collection. Throw in a little Taylor Made Minerals Chintzy, and your done!
Below is an old picture from the first Taylor Made Mineral order I received - Chintzy is in the top row, 2nd from the left. It is a very pale ivory/gold shade with tiny golden microglitter in it. This is a gorgeous eyeliner, and now that Fyrinnae has the Pixie Epoxy, this eyeshadow is a dream to apply. It used to have fallout everywhere, otherwise, and as a result, it has been sitting in my makeup drawer for months! The Fyrinnae and Stila are also pictured below, as a friendly reminder of the colors.

To create this look, I first put UDPP all over the eyelids, topped off with Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy.

For Halloween this year, I knew we weren't going to a costume party, so I decided to be festive for the day with my makeup. Unfortunately, I had to work as well, so it had to be something relatively work appropriate. Since I had just received my new Fryinnae order, I decided to use some of my new colors in the look. I absolutely love their eyeshadows, so this was an easy look to achieve!
Face:
Neutrogena 3-in-1 Concealor "Light"
Bare Escentuals Foundation "Medium"
Bare Escentuals Feather Light Mineral Veil
Everyday Minerals Blush "Theme Park"
Eyes:
L'oreal DeCrease Eyeshadow Primer
Fryinnae "Red Panda" - inner corner of lid
Taylor Made Minerals "Sage" - outer corner of lid
Fryinnae "Newcastle" - crease
Fryinnae "Polar Bear" - high light
Fryinnae "Little Red's Pet Wolf" - lower lash line
Maybelline Colossal Mascara "Glam Black"
As I'm sure many of you know, I love golds and browns. Although I do like to play in color, working with browns and golds is so easy for me to do, so I just love to play around with different colors and techniques when I have the chance.
I decided to do more of a smokey antique gold look with the following colors:
The She Space "Fire and Brimstone" - inner corner
Jesse's Girl Eye Dusts "Cactus" - outer corner
Bare Escentuals Glimmer "Sex Kitten" - crease
Bare Escentuals Glimmer "White Gold" - highlight
Taylor Made Minerals "Fiji Beach" - under eye liner
Fyrinnae Liquid Eyeliner "Lovers Quarrel" - upper liner
Rimmel GlamEyes Mascara "Extreme Black"

For some reason, all these random colors worked well together and made a natural but beautiful look. The liquid eyeliner managed to take on several colors, including lavender, silver, gold and bronze. I absolutely love it!
Please disregard the fact that I desperately need to get my eyebrows done! :) I just noticed how terrible they look when I was editing the pictures - ha!
I have been in a smokey EOTD mood recently, so I thought I would share the turquoise and gold look I did this past weekend. I used:
Taylor Made Minerals in Centaur in my inner corner
Taylor Made Minerals in Fiji Beach on my outer lid
Bourjois Ombre a Paupieres in Noir Emeraude 07 in outer corner and blended into crease
Jesse's Girl Eye Dust in Reflects Gold as high light
Rimmel GlamEyes in Extreme Black mascara
I am absolutely loving the Bourjois Noir Emeraude because it is a warm black color, that can be blended into tons of colors (for example, turquoise) to build a beautiful and smokey eye. And, for the 75% off I bought it at Sephora, it really was a no brainer!!

Fiji Beach is a beautiful and shimmery turquoise. There is a hint of gold, but not a lot, in this shadow. Marine is a pale turquiose-periwinkle color with tons of gold sparkle and undertones. It is a beautiful and shimmery color, perfect for summer! Holiday is a bright Christmas green with gold sparkles. I love this color, and think it will make a great shadows as well as liner!
Next up? A whole bunch of Jesse's Girl Cosmetic's eyeshadows! Not only did I splurge on their new baked eyeshadows, but I bought a handful of their eyedusts, and couldn't be happier with the products, especially for the price!
Here is the next installment of the colors I picked up from Taylor Made Minerals. These were colors I just had to have: Sage, Dralion, Centaur, and Bishop.
Sage is an absolutely beautiful olive green with gold undertones, Dralion is a copper color with turquoise reflections, Centaur is a deep gold and Bishop is a beautiful lavender color with some blue high lights.
Below are the swatches - I definitely cannot decide which is my favorite, they are all so beautiful!
One more set to go!
I was so excited when I checked the mail this past weekend, because my order from Taylor Made Minerals had arrived! I ordered tons, so I will be posting bit by bit to make everything easier to see.
High light and base colors are definitely lacking in my collection, so I used this as an opportunity to pick up some basics! I ordered Crystal, Earth, Mirage, Plush, and Diamonds.
As you can see, although they are all a white or off-white color, there is a hit of something else in each of them. Specifically, Earth has a hint of green, Diamonds has a hint of silver, Mirage a hint of blue and Plush has some purple undertones.
I think the swatches give a better picture as to the undertones for the colors. They are absolutely beautiful and the texture is so smooth and velvety!
Good morning everyone! It's been one hectic week, and I'm so happy to be able to sit down and blog again - I have tons of things to catch up on and lots of pictures to post.
First, I have been loving corals and turquoise together, so I decided to play around with my mineral makeup and find some bright turqouise colors. One that I always lean towards because it is bright, but neutral, is Bare Escentuals Glimmer in Chameleon.
This color is a nice, light turquoise color with golds and pinks flecked through it.
I decided to pair the Taylor Made Minerals in Brown Sugar with it, as this is a metallic and sparkly cool bronze color, perfectly matched with the cool tones of a turquoise color.
I finished off the look with a bright coral lipstick, Avon Ultra Rich "Chic", covered with a sparkly lipgloss Smashbox "Enhance".

Indiana weather is the weirdest thing - last week our highs were in the 80's, and this week our highs are in the 50's-60's. Unbelievable! They aren't kidding when they say "if you don't like the weather in, just wait a day, it will most likely change!".
Anyway, I work at a garden nursery on the weekends to earn a little extra cash, and this past weekend we were nice and cool out, so I was able to play with some makeup before I went in. I decided to do a little spring green color - something subtle since I didn't wear much else besides the eyeshadow. Again, as you have all probably figured out, green is one of my all time favorite colors, so this was a no-brainer for me.
Loreal HIP Secretive - base
The Cosmetic Princess "Silver Sage" - inner corners/lower lash line
Taylor Made Minerals "Envy" - outer corners
Milani Wet/Dry Eyeshadow "Lilly White" - high light
Mary Kate & Ashley Liquid Eyeliner "Black"

Today I should be receiving my Avon order, and hopefully my She Space
order, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for that! I'll definitely post some pics when I get everything!
