EOTD - Subtle Spring Green

8:08 AM

Indiana weather is the weirdest thing - last week our highs were in the 80's, and this week our highs are in the 50's-60's. Unbelievable! They aren't kidding when they say "if you don't like the weather in, just wait a day, it will most likely change!".

Anyway, I work at a garden nursery on the weekends to earn a little extra cash, and this past weekend we were nice and cool out, so I was able to play with some makeup before I went in. I decided to do a little spring green color - something subtle since I didn't wear much else besides the eyeshadow. Again, as you have all probably figured out, green is one of my all time favorite colors, so this was a no-brainer for me.

Loreal HIP Secretive - base
The Cosmetic Princess "Silver Sage" - inner corners/lower lash line
Taylor Made Minerals "Envy" - outer corners
Milani Wet/Dry Eyeshadow "Lilly White" - high light
Mary Kate & Ashley Liquid Eyeliner "Black"
Rimmel Eye Magnifier Mascara in Black

Today I should be receiving my Avon order, and hopefully my She Space
order, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for that! I'll definitely post some pics when I get everything!

It's sunny outside...finally!

12:39 PM

In honor of the beautiful spring!! weather we have been having, I decided to do something a little lighter but with tons of sparkle. Unfortunately, the sparkle isn't all that noticable in the pictures but you get the idea.

I also decided this would be a great opportunity to try out the Loreal HIP paints as a base for my eyeshadows. I was a little concerned that the paints might cause my eyes to be sensative, or have some irritation, but I was pleasantly suprised! Not only did they dry in a snap, my eyeshadow lasts hours and hours beyond what it would normally with just foiling or normal application. I would highly recommend drying this technique to acquire some lasting power in your shadows. There are quite a few colors to choose from, but I chose the most neutral and closest to my complexion, which was "Secretive". It is a light beige with a hint of shimmer.

For the look below:

Loreal HIP "Secretive" - all over lid as base
The Cosmetic Princess "Silver Sage" - lid
Taylor Made Minerals "Chitzy" - foiled over Silver Sage on lid
Mac Royal Assets "Metallic Pallet" - crease
Milani Wet/Dry Eyeshadow "Lilly White" - hilight
Rimmel Eye Magnifier Mascara "Black"

Pretty in Pink FOTD

9:14 AM

The weather is extremely gloomey out, so as a result today is a pink day! It's my attempt and bringing spring into full bloom, although it is still March. I have noticed that some of my flowers are blooming outside, which makes for such a pretty site when the sun comes out. Too bad the rabbit living around our subdivision has managed to munch on them a little bit!

Anyway, here's today's look:

Face:
Bare Escentuals Foundation "Medium"
Bare Escentuals All Over Face Color "True"
Eyes:
Mac ShadeStick "Beige-ing" - all over lid
NYX Pigment "Pink Pearl" - inner corner of lid, lower lash line
NYX Pigment "Purple Pearl" - outer corner of lid
Cosmetics Princess "Cat Eyes" - crease
Mac Pigment "Vanilla" - hilight
Unknown eyeliner "Wine"
Diorshow Black Out Mascara
Lips:
Avon Glazewear Lipgloss "Tickled Pink"
