FOTD Brown

FOTD w/ Maybelline Color Tattoo & Mally Liquid Lipstick

9:33 AM

I'm still feeling pretty crummy, but I did want to post a FOTD from last week using the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze and Mally's Liquid Lipstick in Mally's Look.
Again, I am so impressed with these Color Tattoo's.  The colors are gorgeous and the lasting power is great.  I love them alone and as a base.  I am anxious to see these limited edition shades that are coming out for Fall.
Like I mentioned in the post with swatches of the Mally Liquid Lipstick, this shade is such a universal and beautiful shade of pink, I leave this little beauty in my desk at work as my go to shade.  It is such a happy and pretty color.
Hope you all are having a better week than me!  I can't wait for this cold to go away...

8:55 PM

Wednesday I came down with something, and I can't seem to shake it.  Sorry for the delay, but I will try and catch up this weekend!

Hope you all have a good weekend...

Swatches using Mally's Liquid Lipstick in "Mally's Look" from the New Beauty Test Tube

9:05 AM

I'm always on the lookout for a good lipgloss or lipstick to have in my bag to fall back on throughout the day - something that goes with everything.  Part of the New Beauty Test Tube this go-around was Mally's High Shine Liquid Lipstick in Mally's Look.  I've received several of these Liquid Lipsticks in the kits I've purchased on QVC from Mally and they do not disappoint.  These little beauties have the coverage of a lipstick with the shine of a lipgloss - a multitasking dream.

Mally's Look is a nude-pink cream. For me, this is just a pinker version of my lips, so it's one of those "my lips but better" colors.  I really like this, especially in a pinch when I need some color and shine, but don't feel like digging around my purse for lipstick.  I actually keep this in my desk drawer at work.

I will post a full-face picture later this week, just for a better look at how this is on.

Do you have any Mally's High Shine Liquid Lipsticks?  What is your favorite color?

FOTD Brown

FOTD w/ Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, Fyrinnae Newcastle and Milani Lilly White

11:48 AM

I wanted to post a very quick post with another FOTD using the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze.  This time I paired it with Fyrinnae's Newcastle and Milani's Lilly White Baked Eyeshadow.  These paired so well together, especially the Bad to the Bronze and Newcastle.  The Maybelline really wears like iron and is such a gorgeous shade.  I saw some pictures of some Limited Edition fall colors in the Color Tattoo's, so those are now on my list of things "I need"...

Beauty Test Tube Round #3!

1:37 PM

I love coming home to presents!  My most recent shipment of the QVC Beauty Test Tube came, and I am definitely looking foward to trying out these beauties!

Inside there was a full-sized Laura Geller Waterproof Eye Spackle...this looks promising!

The kit also came with Ojon, Josie Maran Argan Oil (one of my favorites), a Philosophy Shower Gel, Algenist, Mally's  Liquid Lipstick in Mally's Look, and Bliss.

I will post some pics ands swatches soon!

Swatches and EOTD: Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo in "Bad to the Bronze"

9:26 AM

I bought the Color Tattoo's about a month back when CVS had BOGO50% on Maybelline, and it has been sitting on my makeup table to use since then.  I heard the hype and wasn't quite sure if I was going to like using a cream shadow.  I'll be honest, I've used the MAC Paintpots and liked them, but I'm much more prone to use my Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy and/or LA Splash Eyeshadow Sealer than I am to pick up the Paint Pot to use as a base for my eyeshadow.  Well, that was until I found this...Bad to the Bronze.  I'm sure you know I wear a lot of neutrals.  Yes, they may be frosty and sparkly, but I like to wear my browns and taupes.  Well, I was digging around for a taupe eyeshadow the other day and couldn't find it, and this Color Tattoo was sitting there staring at me, so I figured "why not?" and gave it a try.

First of all, the swatches and pot-shots...

Bad to the Bronze is a bronzed taupe.  It is very shimmery, so this isn't for the faint of frost.

Next up, a quick look I did using Bad to the Bronze and the dark brown from Wet 'n Wild's "We're Blasting Off" as a darker brown to create some definition.

I put Bad to the Bronze all over the lid, but not up into the highlight.  While it was still somewhat tacky, I applied the We're Blasting Off to the outer corner and blended it up into the crease.  I can't remember what was used on top as a highlight (sorry).

So what are my thoughts?  These Color Tattoo's are the real deal.  Over the past couple of weeks since I first tried them, I find myself using it more and more.  Using a base like this is taking some getting used to, but I am anxious to get my hands on another color or two to play with.  The consistency is rich, but they aren't so thick that the color flakes off, smears, smudges or fades.  They stay wet just long enough to apply another shadow over the top and work extremely well as a base for such.  I love how much color, frost and pop my eyeshadows that are applied on top show off.  I would say I actually really like these more than I do the MAC Paint Pots.  If you are a taupe lover, this one is for you too.  This Bad to the Bronze is absolutely gorgeous.  I can't say enough about it.

While I have the urge to buy another one of these, what color(s) are your favorite?

Spotted at Meijer: New Limited Edition Sally Hansen Insta Dry Nail Polish Collection

11:19 AM

Sally Hansen has a new Limited Edition Insta Dry collection out now - this set is full of rich blues, purples and a few really vamp colors.  The one I was most drawn to, called In A Flurry, was a black base with holographic glitter in it.  I did buy, so when I get around to wearing I will definitely take pictures.

Have you seen this collection yet?

Spotted at Meijer: New Wet 'n Wild Magnetic Nail Polishes

12:15 PM

Spotted at Meijer this weekend, the new Wet 'n Wild Limited Edition Magnetic nail color collection.  This collection has more bold and primary colors compared to a lot of the warmer shades of other collections I've seen - i.e. there is a rich evergreen/Kelly green as opposed to the typical olive greens I've seen on the shelf.  The colors look really pretty in the bottle without the magnet, so I'm sure they are neat once applied.  Retail is $4.99, and I believe there were 8 total colors in the collection.

Have you seen these yet?

Quick FOTD Using Fyrinnae: Otherwordly, Archmage, and Polar Bear

I have been swamped the past week, so I apologize for the lack of posts.  I did play around with some bright turquoise earlier this week, so I wanted to post a quick look with them - I really liked the color combination on this one.

Here it is:
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Fyrinnae Polar Bear - inner corner
Fyrinnae Otherwordly - middle of lid
Fyrinnae Archmage - outer corner/lower lashline
MAC Sugar Shot - highlight
Avon Precision Glimmer Eyeliner - Amber
Loreal Voluminous Power Volume 24Hr
