FOTD w/ Urban Decay Naked Pallet, Wet 'n Wild LE Pallet in Daring Downtown, Loreal Infallible in Gold Imperial, and Jordana Color Effects Eyeshadow in Green
2:17 PMPlaying around with green and gold today. One of my favorite drugstore greens is Jordana Color Effects Eyeshadow in Green, which is truly one of the "greenest" eyeshadows I own. It wears like iron when over a primer, and has a nice brightening shimmer. I love finding little gems like these in the drug store!

9:28 AM- Prime: add one drop of Stay All Day® Liquid Eye Primer to the mixing tray.
- Combine: add a small dab of Magnificent Metals and swirl to blend.
- Shine: using Stila’s Magnificent Metals Eye Shadow Applicator #37 or your fingertip, gently apply the mixture on lids, blending it out with soft strokes. Build the intensity with additional layers.
- For more opaque results, apply eye primer directly on lids.
I have been very negligent with the blog recently, simply due to life in general, and my new obsession with Instagram (find me over there at @shakeupyourmakeup and @shakeupyourmakeupscloset). With that said, I missed working on my daily posts, so I am going to work very hard to get back up and running over the weekend, so I can get back to more of what I love - makeup!
Quickly, here is a snapshot of my eyeshadow from earlier this week - lots of gold for Thanksgiving. I went very smokey here, just to make it a little more elegant.
For the look, I started with Urban Decay Primer Potion. Above the crease, I am using Buck, from the UD Naked 2 pallet, which is lightly applied. Just below, in the crease, is Creep from the same pallet. On the lid, I first applied Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, and then used Younique's pigment in Gorgeous (a very rich 24K gold shade). I applied Creep to the outer corner, blending it into the lower lashline. The light gold shade in the lower lashline is Younique's pigment in Innocent. Top this off with a highlight in MAC's Vanilla pigment, and a random black gel eyeliner and I was finished.
My lashes are Younique's 3D Moodstruck Fiber Lash mascara, which is unbelievable.

FOTD:Younique Pigments in Beautiful, Irresistable, Daring, and Angelic & Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara
9:00 AMAs I have been recently obsessed with the Younique line, I wanted to play around with their matte pigments, as well as the metallics that I tend to lean towards. I used all pigments on top of Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin, so there is a slight shimmer even to the mattes as a result.
To create the look I used the following:
UDPP in Sin all over lid
Younique Pigment in Beautiful - upper crease
Younique Pigment in Irresistable - deep in crease
Younique Pigment in Daring - outer corner, deep in crease / lower lashline
Younique Pigment in Confident - inner corner to middle of lid
Younique Pigment in Angelic - ontop of Confident on inner corner / highlight / lower lashline
Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara
I was pleasantly surprised as to how well the pigments worked on top of a "standard" primer. I tend to lean towards those that are more sticky in consistency (i.e. Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy) when I am working with loose pigments, but this worked really well.
What is your favorite pigment from the line?
