ColourPop Cosmetics released their Ultra Satin Lip collection several weeks ago, and I picked up a couple of new shades, including this beautiful blue-toned red, called London Fog. The texture on these is very light and not gloppy or sticky at all. I really like semi-matte finish as well. Not shiny like a gloss, and not completely dry/matte like the Ultra Matte Lippies.
I love discovering new indie companies and sharing them with you! I was running through Instagram the other day, and stumbled across Bitter Lace Beauty, an adorable Etsy Shop that has a variety of highlighters to choose from. I picked up UnBirthday, which is a gorgeous swirl of turquoise, gold, pink, coral and violet. When brushed on the skin, it is the most beautiful and bright way of turning the lights on your skin. I couldn't be happier with the purchase, and I know I will be going back for more!
I purchased two UnBirthday, one for me, and one for my sister. Look at how different each one is!
Above, the UnBirthday I kept for myself. I absolutely love all of the colors, and look at how illuminating it is! The colors all swirl together beautifully, and make just a gorgeous color on the skin. With precise application, you could grab any of the colors individually to use as an eye-shadow or highlight as well.
Below, UnBirthday on me. Everything I am wearing is broken down below:

In the meantime, I had already purchased the Vice 3 Pallet, and had decided it was my Christmas present to myself, so held off on using it until just now.

FOTD using Younique Pigments in Empowered, Dignified, Innocent, and Beautiful as well as NYX Sunset and Urban Decay Naked 2 Blackout
9:58 AM
This morning's FOTD/EOTD features more Younique products...this time, their pigments. I wanted to play around with some greens and blues, so I picked Dignified and Empowered out of my samples, as well as a matte rust brown called Beautiful. Empowered is a very pale sea foam green with golden duochrome. Dignified is a rich turquoise, with sparks of green, blue and gold. I mixed these colors with NYX Sunset, a rich orange to burnt orange frost and the Blackout shade from the Urban Decay Naked 2 pallet.
The Younique pigments are very rich and, I know...shocker...PIGMENTED! They are very smooth, creamy, and a little goes a long way. I used the Dignified as a liner on the bottom by applying it wet, and it went on extremely smoothly and did not fall into the lines along my undereye. The mattes applied effortlessly, without any chalkiness or grabbing and pulling on the lid. I have been extremely impressed with how well the shadows blend together, to create that seamless transition between colors.
On top of how workable these pigments are, let me tell you a few more things about them:
- They are 100% Natural
- They are chemical free
- Mineral based
- They are free of talc oils, preservatives, perfumes, synthetic dyes and parabens
- No creasing, smudging or smearing!
At $10 a pop, these are going to last you a very long time, and are very versatile. I can't wait to create some more looks and share them with you!

Aromaleigh
FOTD featuring Aromaleigh "Fraud", Fyrinnae "Druid Werewolf" and Sassy Minerals "Pandora's Box"
10:47 AM
Is it summer yet? I don't know where you guys are, but here in the Midwest we keep getting teased with a day or two of nice warm sunshine, and then it reverts back to wet, dreary, and cold! In an effort to bring back that warm sun, I was playing around with some warm golden hues the other day, and thought I would share. I will detail the look a little bit later, but the eyeshadows I used are below. From top left, clockwise they are: Aromaleigh Elements Lustre in "Fraud", Sassy Minerals "Pandora's Box" and the bottom shade is Fyrinnae's "Druid Wererwolf".
To create the look below, I used Laura Geller's Baked Minerals Foundation in Fair on top of her Ethereal Rose Spackle. The blush I am using is Laura Geller's split Blush 'n Brighten in Ethereal Rose and Subtle Orchid. I absolutely love this shade - it is the brightest, happiest pink blush I think I own. For my eyes, I used the following:
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy - all over lid
Sassy Minerals "Pandora's Box" - outer corner, crease
Aromaleigh Elemental Lustre "Fraud" - inner portion of lid
Fyrinnae "Druid Werewolf" - inner corner and blended into crease, as well as blended at crease up into highlight
MAC Vanilla Pigment - highlight
My lips are It Cosmetics "Je ne sais quoi".

Happy St. Patrick's Day EOTD using Aromaleigh Spectacularly Ignorant, Regifted, Fyrinnae Dark Fantasy, and Make Up Forever Aqua Liner in
8:39 AM
A day late on posting my St. Patrick's Day EOTD, featuring Aromaleigh and Fyrinnae, but better late than never! I have absolutely fallen in love with Spectacularly Ignorant from Aromaleigh. This gorgeous evergreen with gold sparks really blends well with a lot of other colors I have in my collection, so I tend to reach for it a lot. I blended it into Dark Fantasy from the Fyrinnae Archane Magic collection to create a deep smokey eye for St. Patty's.
Hopefully everyone had a great day yesterday! Anyone find that pot of gold we've all been looking for? :)
Here's how I put this look together:
Laura Geller Eye Spackle - all over lid and up to browbone
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy - on lid and lower lashline
Fyrinnae Dark Fantasy - outer corner blended up into crease
Aromaleigh Spectacularly Ignorant - middle of lid, lower lashline, blended into crease
Aromaleigh Regifted - inner corner and slightly in the lower lasline.
Milani Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Make Up Forever Aqua Liner in 1 - the gold one
Mally Beauty Mascara - Black
EOTD
Bright Green Smokey EOTD / FOTD with Rimmel "Green Sapphire", Wet 'n Wild "Blue Had Me at Hello" and Maybelline "Mythical Mermaid"
10:13 AM
Playing off of yesterday's post of bright pink, today features Maybelline's "Mythical Mermaid" Eyestudio Pallet in a bright neon green smokey eye. The bright yellow/green in this pallet has some iridescent shimmer, but isn't a chrome, so works well with the matte black on the Wet 'n Wild "Blue had Me at Hello" pallet to create the smokey eye. Where the black and yellow/green meet, I blended the olive shade from the Rimmel Green Sapphire pallet, as well as placed this along the lower lashline on top of black, blended into the yellow/green from the Maybelline set. I used a matte ivory from an old Hard Candy pallet on the brow bone.
I actually had some patience this morning, so I really like how this turned out. I need to take my time more often! Full details on the FOTD below.

Here's a quick look at all three pallets used, too. Thanks for stopping by!
Yesterday, it was 67 degrees here....today, snow with a low of 9. I am so incredibly ready for spring, so I decided to play around with some bright pinks to brighten the mood. Fyrinnae Chaotic Evil is a neon pink frost that I received a sample of a couple of months ago, but haven't had time to try out until now. What an absolutely fun and bright color! I paired that with Sake & Sashimi in my crease, and really like how the colors blended together.

Swatches and FOTD: Aromaleigh "Spectacularly Ignorant" & "Tribute Token" and Loreal Infallible "Dive Right In" w/ Laura Geller's Collection of Love Set
9:50 AM
All this snow has me thinking about warm beaches and tropical blue waters. So....when I found a $2 off coupon for L'oreal and was able to pick up the Infallible shadow in "Dive Right In", I decided to build a EOTD around this color that could get me out of the winter doldrums. (Click on any of the images below to enlarge).
I just received a new order of Aromaleigh eyeshadows, two of which went really well with Dive Right In, so I decided to coordinate around them. Spectacularly Ignorant (from the Sherlock Holmes "Brilliant Deductions" collection) and Tribute Token (from the Hunger Games "Ever In Your Favor" collection) are two absolutely stunning, multifaceted, colors. Can we talk about how absolutely gorgeous these are? Not to mention, pigmented, long lasting, and just down right unique!
Spectacularly Ignorant is a very deep teal to evergreen base with golden shimmer. Tribute Token is a mustard green that has pink and copper shimmer. Both are extremely multifaceted, and it is difficult to capture in the pictures below, although the swatch of Tribute Token is pretty close.
For the look below, I used the following:
Face:
Laura Geller Spackle Primer (original)
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Concealer in Light
Laura Geller Baked Elements Foundation in Fair
Mally Bronzer in Light - contour
Laura Geller Baked Heart Blush 'n Brighten in Pink Valentine
Eyes:
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Aromaleigh Tribute Token - inner corner, lower lashline
L'oreal Infallible Dive Right In - middle of lid
Aromaleigh Spectacularly Ignorant - crease, outer corner, and wet as liner

Laura Geller Love Me Dew Lip Crayon in Lychee Glace
I absolutely loved this eyeshadow combination. Such bright and fun colors that remind me of the ocean and definitely take me away from the feet of snow we are fielding this week in the midwest! I have always loved Aromaleigh eyeshadows, but my love affair has been rekindled with these two, so I can definitely see another order being placed in the very near future.

Laura Geller Colors of Love Collection: Heart Blush-n-Highlighter "Pink Valentine" and Love Me Dew "Lychee Glace"
1:00 PM
Laura Geller has some of my all-time favorite blushes, so when I saw her "Colors of Love" collection being presented on QVC a few weeks ago, I had to pick this one up.
The set consists of a baked blush/highlighter and a lip crayon. As I have recently fallen in love with lip crayons, thanks to the likes of Revlon, I was anxious to try one of Laura's as well.
First up, the blush. Look at how absolutely gorgeous this is. The color is called "Pink Valentine", and is a coral base with golden shimmer. The heart highlighter is a shimmery champagne shade, similar (if not identical) to Portofino. This blush is like Nars Orgasm, only brighter.
The lip crayon, Lychee Glace, is a bright coral, without shimmer. This goes on very pigmented, with a nice shine. The crayon itself is adjusted from the base, like other crayons are. A nice, thick crayon, it is hefty enough of a product to apply easily, and doesn't feather into your lines. It is sticky enough to last a majority of the day without a need to reapply, but doesn't dry out your lips like a lot of lasting lip colors are known to do.
Swatches side-by-side of all three shades below. When you swirl the blush together, there is just the added depth of the highlighter, although if you have a small enough blush-brush, you can reach for it alone to highlight your cheek bones. These are some gorgeous shades, for sure! Definitely a nice step up from your average box of chocolates on Valentines Day....go ahead, treat yourself!
Recently Laura Geller introduced a new baked foundation on QVC in her Today's Special Value, so I picked up the Fair shade. The kit comes with the foundation, a blush, a large kabuki brush and a liquid lipstick. I have been playing with this set, and yet to take some FOTD's, but I will try and post some in the upcoming week using the collection. Below are some closeups.
From the QVC Site:

The foundation has a slight pearl to it, although just to brighten the skin. It certainly doesn't make you look like a disco ball, like some can. There definitely is a difference in the coverage if you use a brush, or the sponge (below). Full coverage on the sponge, which I find us really nice to use under the eyes - the pearl in the foundation really helps brighten the dark circles.
The blush is absolutely gorgeous - a perfect flush with some shimmer to brighten the complexion and the color is truly that of pinched cheeks.
Did you happen to pick this up? What do you think so far?
