Happy Halloween FOTD - The Lone Ranger and Silver

8:00 AM

I hope that everyone had a very happy and spooky Halloween! My husband and I definitely did. We had a good solid hour and a half of trick-or-treaters. I was busy turning myself into "Silver", so as a result, I didn't get to see any of the kids dressed up, but my husband said there were some good ones, including the dogs fully clad in costume!

I proceeded to spend most of the day yesterday getting the finishing touches to my Lone Ranger's costume, including the red bandana, which took forever to find - I think it is the one time I wish I had just gone to Walmart first, as they actually had what I was looking for, for a whopping $1! I was a little disappointed with my actual outfit, as I was hoping to find a very sequined out tunic or dress to wear, but had to settle for a gray tunic with silver embellishment. I figured for the price and the purpose, it was perfectly fine, so it was a-go.

To create my look, I deliberated about what makeup to wear, and ended up digging in the bottom of one of my drawers, just to stumble upon a long lost treasure - my NYX Pearl Mania set, and chose the Silver Pearl, Charcoal Pearl and Black Pearl as my color-scheme for the night.

To create the Silver look below, I foiled my eyeshadows, had some outlandish falsies (and of course, I threw out the packaging, so I couldn't tell you the name right now - I'll find it though!), and rhinestone embellishments. Top it off with hair and body silver glitter spray, and you've got it!

Eyes:

NYX Pearl Mania "Silver Pearl" - foiled wet all over eyelid and lower lashline

NYX Pearl Mania "Charcoal Pearl" - dry brushed on outer half of lid

NYX Pearl Mania "Black Pearl" - outer corner and lower lashline, to create smokey look

Mary Kate & Ashley Liquid Eyeliner "Black"

Rimmel Volume Mousse Mascara "Black"

Silver Glitter Tipped False Eyelashes - top and bottom

Face:

Bare Escentuals Fair Foundation

NARS Lustre blush

Silver Glitter Spray

I really enjoyed this whole look. It was a lot of fun to go over-the-top on glitter, and still manage to walk out of the house! I do think I looked a little bit more like an extra from Flash Dance, but it's o.k. The whole thing was a lot of fun, and I should have some new pictures to post here later of my husband and I both!
