I wanted to share with everyone - what a perfect, quick and easy Christmas gift or stocking stuffer!
Part 2 of my Barbie Birthday - the Stila Smudge Pot in "Little Black Dress".

Sephora says that this is a black base with pink sparkles. To me, it looks like a very deep egg plant purple with purple shimmer. I suppose it could be all the pink and black mixed together, but regardless, this is a beautiful color.
The swatch is below. If you are hesitant to use black eyeliner, but want something darker than brown, this would be a great alternative. It isn't as harsh as black, but still gives you the depth of color that black does along the lashline, and the little bit of shimmer is just an added plus. Like all Stila Smudge Pots, this goes on very smooth, and can be "smudged" into a base or used with a liner brush for a smooth crisp line. Once this is set, it doesn't budge!
I grew up absolutely loving Barbie and her entire entourage. I had the dream house, huge Rubbermaid totes full of dolls, clothes and accessories, and anything else that went along with her. It's no wonder I love makeup. Barbie always had the most up-to-date eyeshadow application and hair-do's. She was a fashionista before her time!
It's not wonder that Stila paired up again with Barbie to create the Barbie Loves Stila collection. I was lucky enough to get the "All Doll'd Up" eyeshadow palette from my grandmother for my birthday. This palette consists of 4 pans of eyeshadows, each of which has 3 shades that coordinate together, totalling 12 fantastic colors in one convenient package. The outside has a holographic Barbie who winks at you - so cute!

This last pan is my close-second favorite color set. I love greens, so by default I liked these. The outer color is a very pale mustard yellow with minimal golden shimmer. The middle is such a neat color - it's a deep chocolate brown with duochrome effect, ranging into the greens and golds. The outer color is a beautiful pale-evergreen color.

I was very impressed with these colors. The pigmentation is excellent, and the consistency is that of the much-coveted Kitten eyeshadow. Not one is brittle. All blend effortlessly together. They can be applied wet, as a liner, or dry. There is no fall out when used, and the range of colors and mix-and-match opportunities are endless! This is very much a bargain at the $28 price tag.
So, I have to admit, I have fallen in love with Stila's Kitten eyeshadow. It is the perfect, frosty nude color to use as a base, high light, or really just a nice wash over the eyes. I decided to play around with some of the new things I picked up from my Beautycrunch order.

I purchased a ton of stuff from Beautycrunch the other day and finally have started taking pictures last night of all of them. I have broken it down into eyeshadows and blushes, and then all the lippies I bought. I am so excited about this site because of the fabulous bargains you can get on great products! These are the shadows and blushes I purchased:
Kitten - this is something I absolutely HAD to have, and I am so glad I have it now. It is such a beautiful neutral, champagne with tons of frost - just the way I like it!
Stila Eyeshadow Pots (Amber and Petal) - two mouse/cream shadows that are easy to apply, full of beautiful color, and won't crease.
Stila blush pan (Ecletic) - this is a bright, matte coral color. Typically I go with shimmery blushes, but the moment I put this on I fell in love! I used my skunk brush to apply a wash across the cheeks, and it is great color for summer!
Stila Sun Highlighter (Shade 2) - a perfect bronzer for those of us with fairer skin tones, this is not orange, but a beautiful neutral tan color with shimmer to add high lights to the places naturally darkened by the sun.
