It's sunny outside...finally!

In honor of the beautiful spring!! weather we have been having, I decided to do something a little lighter but with tons of sparkle. Unfortunately, the sparkle isn't all that noticable in the pictures but you get the idea.

I also decided this would be a great opportunity to try out the Loreal HIP paints as a base for my eyeshadows. I was a little concerned that the paints might cause my eyes to be sensative, or have some irritation, but I was pleasantly suprised! Not only did they dry in a snap, my eyeshadow lasts hours and hours beyond what it would normally with just foiling or normal application. I would highly recommend drying this technique to acquire some lasting power in your shadows. There are quite a few colors to choose from, but I chose the most neutral and closest to my complexion, which was "Secretive". It is a light beige with a hint of shimmer.

For the look below:

Loreal HIP "Secretive" - all over lid as base
The Cosmetic Princess "Silver Sage" - lid
Taylor Made Minerals "Chitzy" - foiled over Silver Sage on lid
Mac Royal Assets "Metallic Pallet" - crease
Milani Wet/Dry Eyeshadow "Lilly White" - hilight
Rimmel Eye Magnifier Mascara "Black"

  1. yep, those HiP paints hold like no other. :) but when you pair them with UDPP... now that is the ultimate base combo. :)
