A while back CoverGirl extended their Blast line into double ended lipsticks. This bad boy has been sitting on my vanity for months, so I thought it was about time to swatch it - CoverGirl Blast Flipstick in Glimmer 810.
The CoverGirl Blast Flipsticks are double ended lipsticks - one shimmer and one cream shade. Both are complimentary, so you can wear them on their own, or layer them to create three customer colors.
More pictures and swatches to follow!
First, a closeup of the shimmer side. This is a rich, bubble gum pink shimmer.
The other side is a plum/berry creme.
Below are the swatches on the hand. To the left is the pink shimmer, to the far right is the berry creme, and in the middle is the berry with the shimmer layered on top. Although these are bright, the berry shade should be applicable in the fall as well.
I also swatched on the lips below.
(Pink Shimmer - alone)
(Berry Creme - alone)
(Berry Creme with Pink Shimmer on top)
Overall, these are very creamy and soft lipsticks. I didn't experience much drying or staining, although I will say the plum shade did add a bit more residual color to my lips than the shimmer. The two shades blended exceptionally well together too. There is a nice, glossy finish, leaving the lips with some shine. Retail is around $8-9.99 each.
